WHAT INSPIRED THE SPARK THAT CHAT MOVEMENT?
“On November 24th 2020, the MSFT crew lost one of our own - our boy Reido - to suicide. Like so many others who sadly can relate, this loss came as a shocking blow to so many who loved and knew him. Since Reido I’ve lost two more close to me, Theo and Campbell, and I can’t bare to lose more.
I reached out to the MSFT community for support during those impossibly hard times and was devastated to hear just how many of your lives have been affected by suicide and mental health issues, and we want to help.
MSFT Productions has always been a platform to promote ‘spreading the froth’, making the most of everyday, and doing everything that makes your soul shine, but we want to extend that work further and become a platform for all things mental health - the good and the bad - to offer fellow frothers the encouragement, support and information they may have been searching for.
Keep your eyes on all our social media platforms (Instagram, Facebook, TikTok & Youtube) for inspiring content; buy some of our rad new apparel to donate to the cause, and most importantly #sparkthatchat.”
- JACK JENSEN, OWNER & FOUNDER of MSFT PRODUCTIONS & SPARK THAT CHAT CHARITY.

FUTURE GENERATIONS TOUR
one conversation, one school, one story at a timeThe Future Generations pillar is Spark That Chat’s commitment to supporting young people where it matters most: in schools and communities, face-to-face. It focuses on real conversations, lived experience, and measurable impact.
Led by Spark That Chat founder Jack Jensen, the initiative includes nationwide tours, school talks, digital storytelling, and community events. These activities are designed to help rangatahi feel more comfortable talking about mental health, working to maintain a good headspace, asking for help, and supporting one another to be resilient when life throws a curveball.
This work is not about presenting statistics from a stage. It’s about creating environments where young people feel seen, understood, and connected.
FUEL YOUR STOKE LIVE SHOWS
The purpose of this tour is to bring communities together and uplift spirits in the wake of Cyclone Gabrielle, especially in rural and remote areas that have been impacted the most. MSFTs were with you in the mud after the floods, both on the shovel and with our Hawke’s Bay Helping website, and we’re still here for you now, looking after your mental health as we head into Winter.
These shows are at 8 different locations across Hawke's Bay + Dunedin where we are creating a safe and supportive space for locals to gather, lean on each other, and access essential mental health resources and support, or simply just have a good time and a reason to smile. Our goal is to ignite a ripple effect of positivity, breaking down barriers and promoting good mental health practices throughout the winter months when they are needed the most. Look after yourself, your spouse, your mates, family and colleagues and join us - you never know who might have been needing a good time the most.
Remember, even the smallest act of kindness can create a big impact.
